Hey Lizard!

Hey! Lizard!

After watching Nim's Island for the first time, I decided that I desperately need a dragon. Yes, a dragon, you heard me! But not just any dragon mind, what I need is a bearded dragon! And you'll never guess what I'm going to name it?!?!?!?!? FRED!

Have you ever wanted a dragon?

Nim's Island

Nim's Island

Nim and her father Jack Rusoe live on a remote island somewhere in the south pacific. Jack is a marine biologist, and pretty much a science genius, he also helps and answers questions from curious minds all 'round the world.

Nim spends her days running wild on "her" island. She has many animals friends including Freddy (the Bearded Dragon), Sulky (the Sea Lion), they are all rather comical and always make you laugh.

Nim is an avid reader of Alex Rover's adventure books. She wants to be brave and go on daring adventures like he does. However, very soon, her courage will be tested...

Her father goes out to sea to witness and document a spectacular event. He wanted Nim to acompany him, be she refuses as her sea turtle is about to have babies and she wants to be there in-case she has trouble. He gave in and let her stay. They can communicate using a radio and Nim promises to keep in touch with him. Nim is also supposed to check his email while he is away, and tell everyone that he is away on an expedition and will be back in three days. A big storm brews up and leaves Jack stranded out in the sea, without any way to reach Nim. Back on the island, Nim is extremely worried and doesn't quite know what to do.

Meanwhile in San Fransisco, Alexandra Rover (the writer) is having trouble finishing up her current book. She is stumped for ideas, and finally resorts to emailing Jack Rusoe to ask some questions. Nim finds the email from Alexandra Rover (who's pen name is Alex Rover) and is ecstatic! She replies to the email and says that Jack is away, but will be back soon, and can be possible answer any of the questions? Alex asks her some questions about volcanoes and how they erupt (as they have an old volcano on their island), Nim doesn't know the answers to the questions but is determined to find out and takes a hike up to the volcano to find out for herself. After finding the answer, she starts back down the mountain but has a fall and severely injures her leg. Later that night she tells Alex (andra...) about it, and Alex feels very responsible about getting her hurt. Later she learns that Nim is all alone on the island, is hurt, and on top of all that a crews ship is fixing to set up camp on their island to use it as an oasis spot for rich people to vacation on. Even though Alexandra writes adventure stories, she hasn't left her house in 16-weeks and isn't about to go adventuring. But her imaginary friend, Alex Rover (the character from her books) urges her to let go off her fears and go rescue the little girl. She isn't about to budge, until Nim asks for her help, as she is all alone and scared, then she starts considering it.

On the appointed day, Alexandra is about to step out of her door but at the last minute chickens out and Alex Rover has to pull her (literally) out the door.

Will Alexandra and her imaginary friend Alex Rover get to the little girl in time? Will Jack Rusoe make it back to his daughter before he gets eaten by sharks? Will the crews ship set up camp on her island? Will Nim have to spend the rest of her life on the island...alone???????????

Find out by watching the movie! ; )

This is a very cute movie, filled with adventure and comical moments. This is a movie that the whole movie will enjoy. I highly recommend it.

The Phantom of The Opera

The Phantom of The Opera

A dear friend of mine introduced me to this marvelous movie several months ago and I am now a Phantom-Phan for life!

Normally, I do not like musicals at all and rather detest them. But this movie is an exception! I love it. The singing, acting, and screen-play is great. Not to mention it has one of my favorite actors in it, Gerald Butler. ;) But that's beside the point (kind of...but the movie is mainly about him after all...).

This movie is filled with romance, spectacular singing by the whole cast, but mainly the three stars, cool costumes, and a neat story-line. And hey, it has Gerry in it so what better reason do you need to watch it? ;)

I promise, that after watching this movie you will be singing opera 24/7...and you might even consider making opera singing a full time job. I know I sure have.

Just ask my family, they will tell you I am a nut (which is probably true...) and sing opera in the shower, while washing dishes, while...well pretty much all the time.

Start saving up your money, because your going to want an organ after seeing this movie.

Sadly, I'm still saving up for one, so I just play an imaginary one.

So go get yourself a copy of this movie and become a Phantom-Phan right away!

Your welcome...I think...

The correct way of saying "My Angel" :

When calling your girl : "My Angel",  she will receive it better if you are wearing a mask, sword, and a black cape (<for good measure). OH, and she will practically fall all over you if you sing to her whilst doing all of the above.

Take notes Mr. Guppy, take notes!
